COMING TO CALGARY FROM EDMONTON

Move and more people are moving to Calgary from Edmonton this summer and our local moving trucks have been seriously busy. We are happy at Calgary Dream Homes to help clients settle in and suggest what we consider are the best areas near to their place of work, plus we have a list of affiliate companies in Calgary and Area that we have worked with and trust.

Calgary continues to develop, especially in the IT sector with competitive rates and incentives for office space, and certainly as Oil & Gas starts its climb back.

A global study from a U.K. mortgage firm claims that Calgary has become the world’s most affordable city in which to buy a home, based on changes in average annual net salary and per-square-foot condo prices over a five-year period ending in 2020.

The study by Online Mortgage Advisor of Derby, England, found that 65 per cent of global cities became less affordable in 2020 compared to 2016, while 35 per cent became more affordable.

“Calgary, Canada, has become more affordable in the past five years with the average person there able to afford 60.3 more square feet in 2020 than in 2016. A bigger positive jump than anywhere else in the world,” the study, released April 7, 2021, found.

CONDO STATISTICS DECEMBER 2023- CREB

LATEST CREB CONDO NEWS - DECEMBER 1 2023 Apartment Condominium - CREB DEC 1 2023 Thanks to the relative affordability of the apartment-style homes, sales continued to reach record highs in November, contributing to year-to-date sales of 7,487. With one month left in the year, sales have already surpassed last year’s record high. This, in part, was possible thanks to the growth in new listings. While inventory levels are similar to levels reported last year, with less than two months of supply, conditions still favour the seller, placing further upward pressure on prices.  The unadjusted November benchmark price reached $320,100 in November, a monthly gain of over one per cent and a year-over-year increase of 18 per cent. Year-to-date price gains have occurred across every district in the city, with some of the largest gains arising in the lower-priced North East and East districts. ALL CALGARY CONDOS FOR SALE
